Title: Human Resources Recruiter

FLSA Status:  Full-time Employee/Non-Exempt

Reports to: HR Manager

Purpose: Responsible for full life cycle recruitment for production staff positions throughout the company.  


Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate on-going administration of the recruiting and employment process to include:

  • Schedule and coordinate interviews with hiring managers. Collect manager feedback on candidates.

  • Conduct new employee onboarding and orientation and process all applicable HR forms, including development of employee file and updating of HR database in conjunction with third-party HR administration vendor.

  • Record status of authorized position within the corporation, employment verifications, and employee referral program. 

  • Provide and coordinate recruiting initiatives and services.

  • Research and attend career fairs and other recruiting events.

  • Maintain and input application in the application tracking system.

  • Complete weekly report on employment activity 

  • Ensure completeness of all payroll files (timesheets, back-up, tax information, etc.)

    • Design, develop, and implement corporate recruiting strategy.

    • Develop and update job descriptions and job specifications

    • Distribution of external and internal job postings and related advertising.

    • Source and attract candidates by using social media, databases, etc.

    • Assess applicant’s relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience and aptitudes.

    • Conduct interviews using various tools.

    • Maintain updated roster of open positions including weekly hiring and separation statistic
      Other Duties:

    • Assist in coordinating employee events to include company picnic, holiday party, and employee appreciation and award activities Coordinate use of temporary agency personnel.

    • Assist with internal and external training resources on providing training needs to respective departments.

    • Assist with exit interview on terminating employees and unemployment claims 

    • Assist in conducting investigations on alleged events to effectively analyze and resolve HR matters.


Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required (unless otherwise noted):

  • Minimum of two (2) years general Human Resources Recruiter experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred.

  • Experience in light industrial or manufacturing environment preferred

  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn third-party HRIS system.

  • Possess considerable skill in interviewing techniques, a good knowledge of all clerical and specialized functions in the company

  • Familiarity with HR databases and/or applicant tracking systems.

  • Basic understanding of the company's organizational structure as well as an extensive knowledge of personnel policy and procedure and federal and state laws regarding employment practices

  • Ability to maintain confidences, with proven track record of handling confidential information.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Strong problem solving and diplomacy skills.

  • Team player.

  • Self-starter; ability to operate under pressure with frequent interruptions.
